Visitors from Bangladesh holding valid passports can obtain on-arrival visas for stays of up to 90 days, subject to certain conditions.
➼ Travelers must possess return or onward tickets and necessary documents. Those arriving without a hotel reservation or local sponsor must have a minimum of USD 30 per day for expenses. Upon arrival, all travelers must complete and submit a landing card to the immigration officer.
➼ Visitors staying up to 90 days from the date of arrival can extend their stay by paying a fee of MVR 750 to the Department of Immigration in Male at least one day before the initial entry permit expires. It’s important to note that stays exceeding 90 days are not permitted.
Normal passport holders from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan intending to stay between 30 to 90 days must have a local sponsor. If travelers extend their stay beyond the initial 30-day period, the sponsor must notify Maldives Immigration before the expiry of the initial 30-day visa. Alternatively, if travelers plan to visit for 30 to 90 days, they must obtain a local sponsor before arrival, who should inform Maldives Immigration at least one day before the traveler’s arrival. Regardless, stays exceeding 90 days are not allowed.
